Challenge
• PH oil field is facing challenge to stabilize overall production as working conditions of Gas lift and ESP wells have been changed significantly with development stages varying. It is urgent and essential to resolve production issues and requirements, such as diagnose working performance of gas lift valves; track pump working conditions and actual pump efficiency for ESP well; clarify lift potentials and range of optimizing parameters; improve systematic efficiency for gas lift well under numerous constraints on rig; adjust historical well string design scheme for gas lift wells and ESP well parameters design to fit current rig workflow and production allocation.
Solution
• PEOffice was used to first establish digital models for each single well on the basis of gathered production and operation data. Tracking services are further offered to diagnose production problems, optimize lift parameters to the maximum extent and ultimately submit feasible adjustment advices and optimization design scheme. For new wells to put into production (with gas lift, ESP or beam pumping lift) or operation, OPT’s engineers applied PEOffice to accomplish lift and operation design schemes by evaluating the effects under various lift types prior to production or operation. For gas wells, OPT primarily investigated water production performance by utilizing daily production and test data. The critical rate profile along wellbore for each single well was computed by screening liquid loading method suitable for PH gas wells. As such, OPT quickly find out the gas well that is most likely to be liquid loaded in future, thereby facilitating field engineers to take measures to prevent liquid loading as a means of extending flowing period. In addition, OPT further offered induced flow scheme under operation requirements and onsite constraints for those gas lift candidates or new producers prior to operation.
Results
• OPT’s consultants used PEOffice to submit over 30 monthly production review reports and accomplished design schemes for 11 wells. The tracking service played an important role in achieving to stable and high production rate as well as reducing production cost and maintaining fee by providing an overall service, including tracking, diagnosis, and solution report.
